At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle ended the day mostly lower, watching the last of the week’s direct business. June lives closed $.27 higher at $165.47 and August lives closed $.07 lower at $163.77. May feeder cattle closed $.55 lower at $210.97 and August feeders closed $.85 lower at $230.72.
It was a moderately active Friday for direct cash cattle business. Live deals in the South were at $173, $2 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages.
