Chilly air trailing a cold front crossing the Midwest and Northeast could result in frost and scattered freezes on Thursday morning, especially in the Great Lakes region.  Meanwhile, a slow-moving Southeastern disturbance interacting with a plume of tropical moisture could lead to heavy rain in the southern and middle Atlantic States, especially late in the week through the Memorial Day weekend.  Five-day rainfall totals could reach 2 to 4 inches or more in coastal areas from Florida to the Carolinas.
