Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country. 

However, warmer-than-normal weather will stretch across the North from the Pacific Northwest into the upper Midwest, while drier-than-normal conditions will cover western Washington and much of the Midwest.
