As the planting season winds down, the president and CEO of The Fertilizer Institute says it’s been a productive spring.

Corey Rosenbusch tells Brownfield, “it was early so people were able to get into fields and plant early. That means we’re going to probably have a really strong fall. It used to be that everything hit the ground in spring prior to planting but those split applications are starting to be more popular and I think people are optimistic about what will happen in the fall.”

He says fertilizer prices began softening at the beginning of the year.
