The Ohio Pork Council says it fully endorses Issue 1, a proposal aimed at strengthening the democratic process in Ohio. Issue 1 proposes raising the requirement for constitutional amendments to pass with a 60 percent majority vote. The council is encouraging Ohioans to vote “yes” on Aug. 8.
The non-profit, farmer led organization represents the interests of Ohio’s pork industry. The council says its mission is to serve as a united voice for pork producers, promote sustainable agriculture, and ensure the long-term success of the state’s pork industry.
