At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher, watching and waiting for the rest of the week’s direct cash business to develop. August live closed $.65 higher at $171.72 and October lives closed $1 higher at $175.35. August feeders closed $.80 higher at $234.92 and September feeders closed $.65 higher at $238.17.
The week ended with another light round of direct cash cattle business. Live deals in the South were at $182, $3 below the previous week’s business.
