Crop conditions are mostly favorable in Arkansas for late June.
The USDA reports as of Sunday 75% of corn, 81% of cotton, 91% of peanuts , 65% of soybeans and 63% of winter wheat is rated good to excellent. The alfalfa hay crop is less desirable at 37% good to excellent.
Crops are also progressing well, some ahead of average. 39% of the corn crop is silking, 31% of cotton is squaring, 17% of peanuts are pegging, the entire rice crop has emerged, 16% of soybeans are setting pods and 58% of winter wheat is harvested.
