Direct cash cattle trade is off to a quiet start. Packer inquiry is limited this morning, following light to moderate movement in the North Thursday, dressed deals were marked at mostly $290, $6 lower than the prior week’s weighted averages. Live business in the South has been marked at mostly $180, $2 lower than last week’s weighted averages. Although we may see a little cleanup here and there today, it is looking like the bulk of trading is essentially done for the week.
