At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher ahead of the week’s direct business. Feeders were in the lead on the lower move in corn. August live cattle closed $1.90 higher at $172.50 and October lives closed $2.05 higher at $176.07. August feeder cattle closed $4.82 higher at $238.50 and September feeders closed $4.47 higher at $241.97.
There was a light round of direct cash cattle business reported in the South on Tuesday.
