Loosely organized disturbances primarily affecting the northern half of the U.S. will spark occasional showers. Five-day rainfall totals could reach 1 to 2 inches or more in several areas, mainly along an axis stretching from Nebraska (and portions of neighboring states) into the Ohio Valley. Similar totals may also occur in the Northeast. Meanwhile, little or no rain will fall during the next 5 days in several areas, including much of the southern and western U.S., as well as the northern Corn Belt.
