A principal atmospheric scientist with Nutrien Ag Solutions says the rain from last week’s derecho could be the start of a change in the extremely dry weather pattern across the Corn Belt.
Eric Snodgrass tells Brownfield…
“A break in the drought almost always happens with severe weather. This has been a concern for weeks.”
He says the weather forecast includes some rain.
“Two to 3 inches of rain will be added, but where I live near Champaign, Illinois, our moisture is off by almost 7 inches.
