Butter, American cheese, and Swiss cheese stocks in cold storage are down from last month, but still higher than a year ago.
USDA says there was 347.4 million pounds of butter stored as of June 30th compared to 367.8 million pounds the previous month and 330.8 million pounds in June of 2022.
Total cheese in cold storage for June 30th was 1.5 billion pounds, setting a record for total cheese and varieties other than American and Swiss.
