Direct cash cattle trade is off to a very slow start, typical for a Monday.  Bids and asking prices have yet to surface as buyers and sellers are evaluating showlists.  Significant trade volume will likely hold out until midweek or later.  Last week’s dressed business in the North ranged from $288 to $295, mostly $294, about $1 lower than the prior week’s business.  Live deals in the South were marked at mostly $179, generally $1 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages.
