At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher ahead of the week’s direct cash business.  Feeders were in the lead on the lower move in corn.  October live cattle closed $2.30 higher at $181.82 and December lives closed $2.22 higher at $185.62.  September feeder cattle closed $2.70 higher at $251.90 and October feeders closed $2.37 higher at $253.40. 

Direct cash cattle trade was quiet Tuesday after the very light, scattered business was reported on Monday.
