Direct cash cattle trade activity is picking up a little steam.  Bids have surfaced in $179 live in the South and $292 to $294 dressed in the North.  Asking prices are around $180-plus in the South, but the North has kept those cards to themselves.  There’s been some light, scattered business throughout the week and that’s only happened in the North.  Live deals have ranged from $183 to $188 and dressed business has been $292 to $297, neither are enough to establish a trend for the week.
