At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher, watching corn and waiting for direct business to develop.  October live cattle closed $.80 higher at $181.70 and December live cattle closed $.30 higher at $185.50.  September feeder cattle closed $1.20 higher at $250.62 and October feeder cattle closed $.92 higher at $252.15.

It was another very quiet day for direct cash cattle business.  The lone bid surfaced in the North at $295 dressed, the rest of cattle country was quiet.
