Harvest hasn’t started yet for Arkansas farmer Derek Haigwood, but he says he’s already thinking about prepping for the 2024 growing season. “Just a blessing from above if you can have a dry fall,” he says. “No ruts in the field. Field prep for next year is much cheaper per acre if you don’t have combine ruts out there.”
Haigwood tells Brownfield as soon as a field is harvested, work for next year begins.
