At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher, supported by the higher boxed beef during the session.
Light to moderate direct cash cattle business that took place throughout the week. Live deals in the South on Friday were at $179, generally steady with the previous week’s weighted averages. A handful of live deals in the North were reported at $185, about $1 below the prior week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
