Dry weather allowed Tennessee farmers to get some work done last week, but the state’s soybeans will need rain to finish the season.

Corn is rated 65% good to excellent with 97% of the crop in the dough stage, 82% in dent, and 32% mature. 

Soybeans are rated 69% good to excellent with 88% setting pods, and 10% dropping leaves.

Cotton is rated 80% good to excellent with 98% setting bolls and 13% opening.
