Deb Fischer of Nebraska says lawmakers must strike a balance with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. “But we have to have an honest conversation about those as well to make sure that the people really in need of that assistance are receiving it and not expand it to the point where those that don’t need that help are being able to take advantage of those programs.”
She tells Brownfield protecting the safety net remains a priority but would like to include two bills that increase access to precision ag technology.
