At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were lower, pressured by the steady to lower direct business.  Feeders had additional pressure from the higher move in corn.  October live cattle closed $.67 lower at $180.15 and December live cattle closed $.52 lower at $188.32.  October feeder cattle closed $1.37 lower at $254.65 and November feeders closed $1.27 lower at $256.37.

Direct cash cattle business came in waves throughout the week. The rather light trade took place mostly on Thursday.
