A seed treatment technical representative with BASF says Sudden Death Syndrome has surprised soybean growers later in the season.

“In the years where it’s really significant, farmers can lose 20 bushels/acre because there’s SDS in the field,” says Nick Tinsley.

He says SDS is a root pathogen and can be addressed with a seed treatment earlier in the season.
