At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were mostly higher watching corn and direct markets. October live cattle closed $.42 lower at $183.22 and December lives closed $.07 lower at $187.42. October feeder cattle closed $.27 higher at $259.15 and November feeders closed $.35 higher at $260.62.
There was a light direct cash cattle trade that took place throughout the week. On Friday, live deals in the South were at $180, about $1 to $2 higher than the prior week’s business.
