An explosion was reported at the East Plant of ADM’s processing complex in Decatur, IL Sunday evening. This is the third incident reported this year. In April there was an explosion at ADM’s West Plant and in August there was a three-alarm fire at the East Plant.
Several employees were injured and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
In a statement issued to Brownfield late Sunday evening, ADM said the explosion happened just after 7 p.m.
