Pork producers are in Washington, D.C. this week sharing policy priorities with lawmakers.
Minnesota Pork Producers Association president Daryl Timmerman tells Brownfield California’s Proposition 12 remains a concern.
“With the Supreme Court turning that back, we want to see if we can get something in place to avoid a patchwork of laws coming in place there.”
He suggests the farm bill will be front and center with the current bill expiring September 30th.
