It’s another really quiet start for direct cash cattle business.  The lone bid to surface is at $290 dressed.  Asking prices are around $183-plus live in the South, while they still haven’t been fully established out of the North.  So far this week trade has been very limited.  There’s been a handful of deals reported in parts of the North at $180 to $185 live and $286 to $290 dressed.  Business has been widespread and sporadic and isn’t enough to establish an accurate price trend for the week.
