It’s a slow start for cash cattle trade across the country with bids and asking prices not established yet.  Significant trade volume will likely be delayed for at least one more day. 

Boxed beef is lower at midday.  Choice is $.46 lower at $302.62 and Select is $.23 lower at $276.75.  The Choice/Select spread is $25.87.

At the Oklahoma National Stockyards, in Oklahoma City, compared to last week, feeder steers $2 to $5 lower and feeder heifers $3 to $6 lower.
