Direct cash cattle trade activity is a little slow following the light to moderate business reported on Tuesday.  Some bids have surfaced at $182 live in the South.  The rest of cattle country has been quiet.  Asking prices have been restated at $183-plus live in the South and $290-plus dressed in the North.  Look for more trade to develop over the balance of the week.  Tuesday’s business was mostly in the South with live deals marked at $181, $1 to $2 lower than the prior week’s weighted averages.
