Missouri’s Attorney General wants the CEO of Tyson Foods to sell two Tyson Foods plants in southern Missouri that are scheduled to close in early 2024.
Andrew Bailey sent a letter telling Tyson’s Donnie King to keep the facilities open or sell to an interested party, including a competitor, because if the plants close it would be devastating to the local economies, workers, chicken farmers and grain growers.
Bailey said refusing to sell to a certain person or persons is also a direct violation of Missouri’s antitrust law and he would like to speak with King on the matter.
