StoneX Group has raised its projections for 2023 US corn and soybean yields.
Chief Commodities Economist Arlan Suderman tells Brownfield a recent survey of customers estimates a national average corn yield of 175.5 bushels per acre and soybean yield of 50.4 bushels per acre, both are up about half a bushel from the September survey.
“It caught me a little bit by surprise. I was expecting maybe with the way we finished the growing season that we would see smaller seed size and therefore lower yields.
