Yesterday KFJB had the opportunity to have a more in-depth conversation with the new Iowa Valley President Dr. Anne Howsare Boyens. November 1st will be her official start date, but during this month she is working with current IA Valley President, Dr. Kristie Fisher, to learn about Iowa Valley.
Dr. Howsare Boyens is leaving Des Moines Area Community College where she is the Provost. She says there are a lot of similarities between the colleges.
November 1st will be the official start date, Dr. Howsare Boyens mentions that her family is already excited to join the Marshalltown Community. She has 2 kids, who are looking forward to Esports and the pools at the Y and Aquatic Center. Her husband is a Para-legal and works for a law firm in Des Moines.
