October is Soybean Cyst Nematode Action Month and technical field representatives with BASF are sharing management advice with growers.

Nick Tinsley based in Illinois tells Brownfield SCN is the most damaging pathogen to soybeans.

“Every year, it’s estimated that soybean growers lose about 100 million bushels to SCN. That’s anywhere from $1 billion to $1.5 billion. So, we know we’re giving up a lot.”

Troy Bauer based in Iowa says SCN often goes hand in hand with Sudden Death Syndrome which can be detrimental to a soybean crop.
