It’s a quiet Friday for direct cash cattle trade activity.  It’s likely the bulk of the week’s business has wrapped up, but some scattered cleanup trade could still be reported.  The lone bid is in Nebraska at $184 live.  Asking prices for what’s left on showlists are around $183-plus live in the South and $290-plus dressed in the North.  So far this week Southern live deals have been marked at mostly $182, about $1 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages.
