Brownfield’s meteorologist says rainfall across parts of the Midwest could significantly improve drought conditions.
Greg Soulje says the system is slow moving and could dump up to four inches over three days in many places. “While there may be some ponding in poorly drained areas, we think there’ll be some pretty good absorption, so there should be in the weeks to come categorical improvement to the dryness and drought in the worst areas of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota.”
He says that might improve Mississippi River levels.
