Milk futures were mostly lower and the cash dairy markets were mixed with light trading Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October Class III milk was down $0.09 at $16.84. November was up $0.11 at $17.41. December was down $0.01 at $17.59. January was down $0.02 at $18.10. February through September contracts ranged from one cent lower in February to nine cents higher in July.
Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.3350. Eighteen sales were recorded, ranging from $0.3350 to $0.3375.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.70.
