Direct cash cattle trade is off to its typically quiet start to the week.  Bids and asking prices have yet to surface.  It’s likely significant trade volume will be delayed until at least midweek or later.  Last week, live deals had a range of $182 to $184, mostly at $183, which is $1 higher than the previous week’s business.  Dressed deals ranged from $288 to $294, mostly $292, $3 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages.
