An East Central Nebraska farmer says the finish line for harvest could be a few weeks away.
Chris Clausen tells Brownfield part of his corn crop has stalk integrity issues after a trio of wind storms this summer. “We’re actually putting on our corn reel and I know of several other neighbors are doing the same thing, so that’s going to slow harvest down a little bit for us. And I’m not sure how widespread it was.”
He tells Brownfield damage was extensive in places and likely took the top end yield off.
