Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig says harvest is past the halfway point in many areas of the state.

“We’re now approaching three quarters of the soybeans harvested and approaching half of the corn that’s been harvested as well.”

He tells Brownfield progress has slowed in recent days. “We have had some what I would call much needed but ill-timed rain and certainly it’s much needed from the standpoint of all of the drought that we’ve seen across the state of Iowa and the lack of precipitation.
