A northwest Ohio farmer says he finished soybean harvest this week with better-than-expected yields.
Duane Stateler tells Brownfield his farm in McComb, Ohio received its first measurable rainfall this week for the first time in more than two months.
“But we never stressed and when we got into beans, we have been surprised—we are running in the low 70s,” he shares.
Stateler says he opened up corn fields and moisture levels were near 24 percent, still too wet to combine.
