A farmer in eastern South Dakota says the corn being harvested has better-than-expected yield and quality.

Scott VanderWal tells Brownfield…

”When you look at the color of a kernel, you can kind of tell what the test weight will be due to how dark it is and some are almost orange, they get so dark yellow.”

VanderWal says there’s rain in the forecast, but he’s hopeful the delays won’t last long.
