Missouri’s Ag Director says Japan has an interest in Missouri-produced corn and soybean meal.

Chris Chinn took a week-long trip to Japan earlier this month and says the U.S. continues to have a strong reputation for producing quality grain and being a reliable source for animal feed.

“Relationships are very important to the Japanese society. It’s another indicator as to why they continue to do business with Missouri, because we have that long-standing relationship and they trust it.”

Chinn says it will be important Missouri’s farmers continue raising soybeans with high protein levels.
