More substantial direct cash cattle business finally got underway in the South.  Live deals are marked at $185 in Kansas and Texas, fully steady with the previous week’s business.  Some live deals in Nebraska were also reported at $186.   Asking prices for what’s left on showlists are around $185-plus live in the South and $292-plus dressed in the North. For the week, dressed deals in the North have ranged from $288 to $292, mostly $290, $4 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages.
