A farmer in northeastern South Dakota says the late-season moisture has made it tough to combine the corn and soybeans.

Jason Frerichs tells Brownfield both crops were stressed from dry conditions in the growing season before the rains started and there’s been consistent rains through the fall.

“Here lately, only about a half inch has fallen, but throughout October, we had somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 to 9 inches of moisture.
