Pacific storms will maintain unsettled, showery conditions into next week across the Northwest, with the heaviest precipitation falling from the Cascades westward. Moderately heavy snow will affect the northern Rockies, while periods of light precipitation will cover much of the remainder of the nation’s northern tier, from the northern Plains to the Great Lakes States. In contrast, dry weather will prevail for the next 5 days across the southern half of the U.S., aside from a few showers along the Atlantic Coast of Florida.
