Active weather will prevail for the next several days across much of the northern U.S., as Pacific storm systems quickly move eastward near the Canadian border. Late in the week, there will be a break in the pattern, as a Canadian high pressure system surges southward. Cooler weather will accompany the high-pressure system, especially from the northern Plains into the Northeast. During the second half of the week, parts of the Southeast should receive much-needed rain, as a cold front becomes more active.
