Milk futures were lower and the cash dairy markets were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
November Class III milk was down $0.04 at $17.08. December was down $0.15 at $16.89. January was down $0.11 at $17.04. February was down $0.02 at $17.49. March through September contracts ranged from unchanged in September to thirteen cents lower in June.
Dry whey was up $0.0025 at $0.3975. One sale was recorded at that price.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.04 at $1.60. Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.60 to $1.62.
Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.65. No sales were recorded.
Butter prices have now dropped more than forty cents in four trading sessions.
