Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation across much of the central and eastern U.S. Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to southern Florida, the northern High Plains, and parts of the West.
Meanwhile, drier-than-normal conditions should be limited to areas west of the Rockies.
