Iowa farmers are finishing corn harvest and continuing other fall fieldwork.

USDA’s latest crop update says corn is 97 percent harvested, on pace with last year and a week and-a-half ahead of the five-year average.

Other activities include tillage, fertilizer applications, manure hauling, and tile work.

Cattle are grazing on stalks, and reports of more calves being weaned were received.
