U.S. ethanol production dipped last week as stocks swelled.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production was a six-week low, averaging 1.023 million barrels a day, a decline of 24,000 from the previous week and 18,000 from a year ago.

Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development says operating margins for the average Iowa plant receded, while remaining in positive territory.

The Renewable Fuels Association says net inputs by ethanol refiners and blenders and the volume of gasoline supplied to the market were both down on the week.
