Across the Corn Belt, a fast-moving disturbance is producing rain and snow showers, mainly east of the Mississippi River. Accordingly, most final harvest efforts—mainly across the northern and eastern Corn Belt—remain on hold. Midwestern temperatures are typical for this time of year, with highs later Tuesday expected to range from 35 to 45°F.
On the Plains, mild, dry weather continues to favor late-season fieldwork. Above-normal temperatures are also promoting some additional winter wheat development.
